Carpet floor cover is nylon, acrylic or wool carpet installed over a padding material. Nylon carpets are typically least expensive, with the mesh-woven backing types being somewhat more expensive. Acrylic carpets appear very similar to wool, but are not as expensive and do not wear as well. Wool carpets are the most expensive.
