353 Cooling: Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative cooling is a cooling unit, usually roof-mounted, that cools the air by water evaporation. It cools outside air by drawing it through a moistened filter pad in the unit and then circulates it throughout the interior. These are usually single-ducted packaged units or relatively short-ducted central systems. This type of system is commonly found in arid climates, and is often called a "swamp cooler."
